Disliked, badly known, the nettle possesses nonetheless many virtues: medicinal, culinary, ecological…As a fermented solution, it enriches the soil and fortifies the crops. As if alarmed by its success, the government decides to bind the use of nettle liquid fertilizer with the help of legislation. Follows a real “nettle war”, where the commercialization of the living is the enemy. As a symbol of liberty and defiance to the lobbies of chemical agriculture, the nettle questions our relationship to the wild nature and invites us to a harmonious relationship to biodiversity. Scientists, farmers, landscapers, ethnologists, make us rediscover the nettle from the Pyrenees to the Australian rainforests, from the alleys of the Palace of Versailles to the laboratories of the Kew Garden in London.
