Mysterious Mediterranean whales(The)

Each species of whale migrates annually, traveling for several thousands of kilometers. This is also true for the common fin whale, which can be observed in the Ligurian Sea between Corsica, France, and Italy from June until September. It disappears in the winter, migrating to an unknown destination. A CNRS team, in collaboration with the WWF, is trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.
The researchers patrol the Ligurian Sea to locate the whales, in order to attach Argos beacons to them; this will make it possible to follow their movements by satellite.
