Sign language was officially banned from education from 1880 up until 1991. This 60 minute documentary sets out in search of French and German deaf artists, to gain an insight into their work and culture, which society has made every effort to suppress.
This film in sign language is dubbed and subtitled, accessible to the deaf and hearing public.
