The “David and Goliath” by Daniele da Volterra is a two-sided painting, made on an slate and representing the same scene, which can be viewed both forwards and backwards. It ’ s a painting and a sculpture at the same time, a unique tentative to recreate a space, a move, an action.
In this film, two restorers question this piece of art.
